- 1 large red onion
- 2 green onions ( with the green part included)
- 1 ½ cup of brown rice
- 6 cups of light casting and hot vegetables broth
- 1 cup of lemon juice
- 1 tsp of lemon zest
- 1 or 2 tsp of cilantro or chopped parsley
Lots of recipe with chicken or pork that I was already getting a little tired of the meat, so I decided to bring something a little different but just as tasty and might even say that well with these recipes too. Make lemon rice is a very simple recipe that any fan of the kitchen can make easily at home and look like a great chef with the person he/she want to impress.

1. Start cooking the red and green onions in a covered saucepan over medium heat in 3 tsp of water for 7 minutes.
2. Add rice and stir until it turns into a transparent color.
3. Add the broth and lemon juice. Then you have to mix, cover and cook at a gentle boil for 35 minutes.
4. Add the zest, salt and pepper and continue cooking for 10 more minutes.
5. Remove from heat, add the cilantro or parsley and mix gently with a fork. Finally let it set for a few minutes before you serve it.
